I think you may have found yourself a new PROfession... Some GREAT pics...

Love the curly tail feathers on the Northern mallards. Just got home from Disney and the mallards down there were all northerns... At least I was told the ones with the curlly feathers were the northerns...:eek

Thanks guys....ya I want to go out scouting again and take more. For those interested I'm using the Canon Rebel XT SLR camera, with the Canon 75mm-300mm III USM lens. Glad you're enjoying them.

really nice sharp images of the mallards. The background is pretty distracting. Very nice goose shots.

Duffy,

I wrote at the top of the pics a little disclaimer about the mallard pics, bc I knew they were a little odd- the mallards were in my backyard/field! It was pretty neat for them to land there and although the backround doesn't make for anything you could frame I thought it was neat to be able to shoot those pics from my deck.

Thanks for the great comments everyone!

I'd also like to make a disclaimer that I wasn't harrassing any of this wildlife and know that most are carrying young right now. I just hung out by the shore for the geese and was lucky enough to catch them on the fly and the elk pics were taken from my car so that I didn't disturb them, the deer pics were all from very far away and once again I didn't get out of my car to chase them or make them move.

That is a VERY nice pic of the doe and fawn. I can almost smell the damp cool October morning air in it.
