went in there last week and it's sure changed a bunch. Friday @ lunchtime the whole of Inglewood crazy busy, Crown was completely dead.

not sure about new ownership though, the whole family (3 gens) would be in there rotating running it-but I honestly don't know.

On Hwy 16 between North Battleford and Saskatoon there is a place on the North side of the highway that has surplus stuff. I haven't been there in years but they have a lot of stuff.

That's in Maymont, an eccentric recluse had that place, I stopped there 15 years ago it was like the Bates hotel, I was alone wishing I told somebody that I stopped there. He was not friendly and very suspicious had piles of junk and military surplus wanted a fortune for everything like the fuel pods that planes drop when they are empty $2000 each? The sign says closed now and the roof is mostly gone on the main building I assume the old guy is gone now.

My Varusteleka order came in last week and almost everything was brand new/unissued. I can’t believe how cheap it all was. No import fees either.

Website is https://www.armysurplus.com/ for Crown. Agreed that it's become a bit of a blend between surplus and new but the staff is top notch from my experience. Was looking for a mystery ranch metcalf this year and the son of the owner was awesome to deal with.

Default sabade road

I think the main problem is the Canadian Government doesn't release any CADPAT articles to the publicly. Over the last decade they have liquidated pretty much all of the remaining OD green gear, this was the basis of most of the surplus stores I know of. There's also a lot of work that goes into inspecting, sorting, repairing used surplus, and you could still end up with a bunch of unsellable junk. Its a total shame, but new manufacture tactical crap from China is probably keeping the remaining surplus stores in business.
