Default 20 HP Honda Motor 4 stroke outboard winter storage

Any advice on winterizing honda 20 HP 4 Stroke outboard.if I store the motor in a heated garage do you still need to winterize ?Thanks

I run the engine with fuel stabilizer then I change oil in the crankcase and bottom leg, pour the left over gas into my truck.

And drain the carb bowls, pull the plugs to spray in the engine storage aerosol, turn over by hand.

Your storing it in a heated garage then really nothing will be required other than drop the leg oil and replenish, fuel stabilizer and wait till summer

Depending on hours since last service, you may only have use some seafoam and wait til spring!

I agree 100%.

If you are in a heated garage - the leg oil (grease) doesn't need to be changed unless it's due for a change.

Add Seafoam to fuel, run it long enough for the Seafoam to get into the carb and shut her down for the winter in a vertical position (to drain the water in the leg) and you are set.

This is exactly what I do with my boat - 150 Honda and 9.9 Honda. Never had an issue.
