Large winterkill a couple of years ago. Lake needs time for the fish to re-establish healthy populations

Lake has still great been great for me and a few others the pat 2 years. Not as many nice walleye, but they are coming back already, plenty of keeper pike decent perch and nice hauls of whites, oh ya and burbot, lots and lots o burbs...
One of my favourite lakes in the province to fish.
I wish people would stop telling lies about it. It had a minor winter kill and fishing has not slowed down one bit. But hey more lake for the few of us that know better than to believe the hype.

Nice!
I fished it only once maybe 7 years ago. Crazy structure in that lake. We did okay but it was also the first place I ever drilled into the dirt....like I said, crazy structure (yes, ruined the auger blades)
Good to hear that you are doing well there. Especially on burbs!

Grew up 2 miles from the lake. Haven't fished much in the last few years but have had awesome fishing there! Did pretty good this summer! My dad pulled a pound pike out this winter.

Decided this morning to go to Lac La Nonne for the first time since Feb 2015 when I failed to see a fish on my camera not once but two days in a row.

I went to a different spot on the lake than 2015. 20 feet of water. Water was very murky making it difficult seeing my lure on the camera 6 feet away.

Seen around 10 perch but could not get them to bite anything I offered.

Seen numerous pike and iced 8, all released, lost 2 at the hole and lots had commitment issues as they would stare intently at my offering but would not bite.

Used a jig with minnows and also a Helsinki Shad Clackin Rap in the 06 size.

Did try a small jig with maggots but perch would not bite.

I give it a 4 out of 5 kernals as action was fairly consistent.

Did have fish and wildlife stop by. Pleasant visit and he did state people were catching perch.
