Talk to Dave at Jimbows in Edmonton. I'm pretty sure he uses the vaps

I was in to Jim Bows Calgary store and Wess talked me in to the new Vaps. I was shooting the Easton FMJ and the vaps penetrate at least 4 inches deeper then my FMJ.

Cheers
Chris

VAPs are good, killed my deer this year with them but in reality, they aren't much smaller diameter than the FMJ Injexions and the fmj's weigh more which is more important to penetration than diameter of the shaft. The VAPs will amaze you with how deep they penetrate into foam and targets but don't let that fool you, targets and animals are completely different. The FMJ Injexions will out penetrate the VAPs on actual game, all else being equal. Plus you don't have to deal with the outsert and all the problems associated with that....

However, if you go FMJ Injexions you will be limited to deep six broad heads only. Something to consider if you don't like the choices available in deep six.

I shoot 340 fmjs with 100 slick tricks at 318 out of my Hoyt and they penetrate great and accurate as well

Default Arrows

After buying a pile of victory vap gamer arrows I am starting to see why people hate the outsert , real pain in the but when u do lots of target shooting at 3 d etc , they are always bending or breaking , thinking of selling lol

VAPs or the Goldtip Kinetic Pierce. Both good arrows and you can use a normal broadhead (not deep 6).

FMJ's, very accurate arrows with good penetration. Never shot the VAPS, so not sure what they are like to compare. I really like my fmj though.

I started shooting 5mm FMJs this year. Love the arrows, my only complaint is the fletchings rip off the aluminum much easier than what I've experienced on carbon arrows. Might just be the batch or me, but its noticeable.

I shoot the VAP TKO arrows. The in/outsert has given me no more trouble than a traditional insert. The added weight forward, and strength it provides is worth it.
I prefer carbon arrows to the aluminum of FMJ's.

Shooting the FMJ using both standard and deep six, great arrow. Also use the BAR adapters.
