Fished there a few times last year. Havent been this season though so no idea whether its fishable yet. I found the fishing was better in the Sturgeon before it hit the nsr. O and I think he meant fort saskatchewan

The...nsr and sturgeon rives join downstream of fort saskatchewan ..no where near st.albert.

And there is nothing secret about the path... park by the train tracks at the top.... follow path through that looks beaten down for the past 30 years.

One of the old Alberta Walleye records was caught there once upon a time. On a perch colored Big O IIRC.

X2 Was good about 20 years ago but too many years of Edmonton waste and Sturgeon River sediments has filled in any previous holes. Much better spots a little downstream. ( Very tough to spell the name of the town )

Nailed a 17.5 lb post spawn pike there, two years ago. To many retards down there that like to croud you, or forever stepping in trash and beer bottles.

Was down there yesterday. River is mostly frozen still a few spits with open water, but veru shallow. Mouth is open though but lots of ice heaves floating down. I left my rod holder down there too lol in a couple weeks it'll be decent, one of my favorite spots forsure. I also noticed the land owner filled his fence in where the trails cutting across the field were. Also some landscaping/erosion protection has been added by the culverts. Still, can't wait for open water whooooo
