Ouija Board. Actually I have a sales alert setup on the Duratracs and Mud Terrains as I am going to need new tires fairly soon. My existing Duratracs on my 3/4ton have 90,000 Klm on them.

Im gonna get some tomorrow. I think crappy tore charges another 100 to install but oh well. Should i get the 6 ply or 10? I dont plan on running over any deer sheds and it will be on an F150 so I think the LT rated tires may be overkill.

Unless you want your truck to feel like your driving a train through potholes stick with a lighter sidewall like C grade 6 ply or even P- but I don't think either the duratrac or KO2 are P rated

IMO they don't hold up all that well to abuse, but I'm fine with that and these tires I can honestly say have never let me down.

One of my friends also runs these tires for oil field work and says that so far he will stay with them as he has never had any issues. (Other then tread life). He runs a winter and summer set. His winter ones are studded.

I like how these tire are decently aggressive, yet still able to pull highway speeds with out too much noise.

But I'm not a tire guy. So don't take my word for it.
Mine are on a regular cab 1/2 ton so i'm sure the fact that the truck is quite light plays a large part when it comes to tread wear. i should also add that i only rotated my duratracs once well after 100k due to cupping on the fronts that gave me some vibration at highway speeds.

I don't use the truck to haul much more than my boat or car hauler but overall i was extremely impressed with the duratracs.

Should wait till Fountain Tire does their 4 for 3 sale. I picked up a set of Goodyear Duratracs in 285/70/R16 for $900 and change.

I run Toyo Open Country C/T on both my Nissan Xterra and F250. I had BFGs on my truck before that.

Really like the Toyos for both on and off road, Towing up to 10,000lbs as well as snow and ice but if I had to pick from your options I would go BFG KO2

I see math isn't your strong suit. zFour tires at $195 is $780. I like that much better than $900.

If you do any amount of gravel driving I'd stay away from both of they tires as they are both garbage. About 8000 Kms on BF Goodrich and about 20000 Kms on the Goodyears. Coopers are better with about 70000 Kms on gravel. You get what you pay for!!

Default Goodyear Wrangler Duratracs

I currently have just under 3 years and 115'265 kms on my Duratracs. That converts to about 71'622 miles. I have had no problems with these tires. I think a couple of them have a plug or 2 in them from bolt and nail leaks. I work on the drilling rigs in Alberta and Saskatchewan so a lot of my driving is on poor gravel roads and mud in the summers and snowy iced roads in the winter. They handle decent. I rotated them every 10'000kms and adjusted tire pressures according to load. 285/75R16 is the size and they are on a 2002 Dodge 3/4 ton with the Cummins. That being said I cannot say anything about the noise from the tires as the cummins is all you hear. The guy saying that the siping doesn't go very deep has wrong information. I still have siping on mine at 115'000 kms and with just over an 1/8" tread left it looks like the tires will be bald about when I have no siping. Even wearing all around. No balance issues. Only complaint is they are expensive. About 65%hwy/35%gravel and off-road. If I find a good sale again I will buy them again.

Get them at Canadian Tire. You can put in a sales alert and they will email you when they come on sale. They go on sale for $200 a skin in that size, so WAY cheaper than Fountain Tire. Sale comes about every 2 months.

Another vote for the Duratracs. Running on 3/4 Ford, lots of towing this summer. Performed very well. Not as loud as some would think. After 10000 kms since April, they are due for a rotation. We spent $1200.00 out the door from Costco. Both my friends have the same tries with the same results. Can't wait to see how they do in the snow.

Ive run BFG on a few trucks but so far the best tire I have had is the toyo AT xtreme. Little to no noise and are wearing nicely. Very impressed on ice or snow as well. I have a 1 ton and pull a 5th wheel all summer as well.

Had a set of BFG KO's on a Dodge 1 ton. Got about 34,000 km out of them! Junk!

I would check as I asked the Fountain Tire in Rocky Mountain House and he told me the Duratrac is not part of the 4 for 3 deal.

I've been running Toyo Open Country AT2 Extremes for 65,000km and they have been awesome.

So far I'm only down to 12/32nds from 17/32nds and I do drive a fair bit of gravel.

275/65/18 BFG's on my GMC 3500, just under $1100 mounted and balanced at Costco. Had several sets of these on various trucks over the years. Great winter tires. Never had Duratracs but some friends have and nothing but good things to say about them either.

Duratracs, run them on the ice roads up here in the NWT on our work trucks and they are great. Just put a new set on my 2500HD with the last Canadiantire sale in Aug. The noise and fuel economy got better compared to the old Goodyear Territory tires I just replaced.

I've gotten rid of my Duratracs off of my jeep and soon off of my truck. Gone with the Nitto Ridge Grapplers and love them so far. Truck will have new shoes for next fall....found the Duratracs to squirmy on the road for my liking. Side walls not stiff enough.

I've driven about 10,000kms in the last month with my new 235/85/16 Duratracs on my 2500hd and they have been great, not squirmy in anyway. These are load range D in this size.

Just put 5 Ridge Grapplers on my Jeep, what size did you get?

Running a set of studded DuraTrac's on my rig as dedicated winter tires, meh. Good in deep snow but nothing special at all on ice even with the studs. Getting wicked mileage out of them though, going on my 5'th winter and they still look brand new. Next set will definitely be something different

Yup, got em on my personal truck and we ran these in the patch on our work trucks, hard, no flats, or any other issues.

Put these on my F-150 after my stock Pirelli Scorpions finally fore down enough (thank God).

Very happy with the performance so far, but still waiting to see how they handle some real tests (November on 532 for example).

If you have a 3/4 ton or bigger and haul look at the Cooper discoverer ST Maxx. Good all around tire for snow, ice, and mud and stiff sidewalls unlike duratrac. Used to like the duratrac until I tried the ST Maxx...it's always relative to size and weight of vehicle you're putting the tires on. Had BFG A/T on my old jeep, loved them..put them on the gf 2013 Chev 2500 and wanted to throw them out. The dynopros I have right now on my 95 F250 7.3L but haven't had them long enough to make a decision about.

Co worker has Kos on his Tundra. Complains in cold weather they get a flat spot that takes a few kms to round out. I just put a set of Duratracs on my Canyonero to replace Big O Bigfoots. Crappy, poor traction and wore quickly. Threads like this on AO nudged my in the Duratrac direction, Can't beat the sale price at CT. I'll see how they go, sure ride nicer than the last junk.
