Default Jarvis Lake - Hinton

Hi Folks,

I will be camping on Jarvis Lake in a few days. I see a number of posts in the forum about fishing the lake in the winter but not much for the summer. Has anyone had much luck fishing Jarvis in the summer? Can you catch the whitefish in the summer that people have posted about catching winter? Any tips or suggestion would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Hip

There are Jacks, Whites, Walleye and Perch. You may even run into Brown trout or Rainbows. I have even caught Grayling in the creek. Yes you can catch Whites there but you should get off the main part of the lake, Find a bay where they are swimming around and give it a try.

I've caught whites in Jarvis, in the bays like coachman said, with the smallest size 5 of diamonds casting from a boat. On a calm day you can sight fish them pretty successfully
