Default results for spray painting snares..

I used flat finish Krylon dark brown and black to spray paint my coyote snares. I did use painters tape to cover the lock before painting. And I let the snares dry in the garage for 24 hours and then I hung them outside for 5 days before setting some.

I set 4 snares Monday night and picked up a coyote tonight. Using snares painted last week.

If this keeps up, no more boiling in the kitchen for me.

Boiling takes me awhile, makes a mess of the stove and lots of clean up after and I still air out the snares after.

Spray paint takes a couple mins to spray 20 and no clean up.

That something I do a lot of is paint my snares. Especially when there's snow on the ground. Spray paint them a dull white. Boiled snares work nicely with out snow. But they reflect on snowy ground. Ive never found a reason to boil snares. Throw my snares into a pail off hot water mixed with popular leaves and leave sit for 2 days works very well

I painted a dozen snares last year to try out in long grass. I painted them with Cat flat yellow primer. It worked great! Blended in perfectly so I did up another 3 dozen this year.
