I did look at the Weatherby's and they are beautiful guns.
I Love the action on the Weatherby's.
Its the cost of ammunition that seems to be high for me,
like 5-6times the cost of comparable loads.
I don't reload yet, maybe some day.

Right now I'm definitely leaning towards the Sako, I almost bought one but they're out of stock right now. So I've still got some time to think.

Thanks to all the guys who've posted thoughts and opinions on this thread.
Next I'll be asking about Glass... and I know that'll be interesting.
Bru.
You don't have to shoot Weatherby caliber's.
Not sure what caliber your after , but Weatherby offers pretty much every caliber.
Personally I'm not a fan of their caliber's anyway.

If your looking at a non-magnum caliber the Mark V ultra-light weighs in under 6lbs.
Whether you can find one is another story.
They run about $1800.

You can't go wrong wit hthe Sako if that's what you got your heart on.

My bro shoots one in 280 Rem and he shot the 1st 3 shots in one hole @ 100 yards that I've ever seen !! Little bit of luck there , but a sweeet gun.

I'd wait and find an older Sako 75? with the hinged floorplate so you don't need the $150 clips that will inevitablely get lost rendering the gun a single shot.I have a pre- vixen Sako .222 with the fancy French walnut stock and rosewood fore end that takes clips.Good luck finding them.Gold leaf acorn pattern.BOFOR STEEL.....................Harold
