The proliferation of these little scopes is going to be interesting at the next gun show.

Imagine lines of guys at the table with these little gizmos and a cell phone checking out rifle bores and trying to beat down prices (this might be a good thing). It's going to be interesting to watch.

Ordered from Amazon,no extra fee and I think it was DHL International that delivered, not Fedex.

Well got in touch with the company shipping the Borescope with the intention of cancelling the order as I had not agreed to an extra $14 in charges just cause Fedex felt like it. That represents a 30% hike in the price. Figured I would look for an alternate, cheaper way to buy it. Turns out, the company is pretty good to deal with. They will cover the $14 in extra charges from Fedex via refund post delivery and they plan to take this up with Fedex as they apparently have just started using them for shipping.

The other neat thing is it looks from the tracking number like it should be delivered today, which is really fast considering it came from Hong Kong.

I ordered one and when it showed up there was a DHL bag with just a little box that had two plastic vials in it that contained strange small plastic parts. I paid close to $100 with duty and got burned. I've filed a claim.

Mine showed up from China on Wednesday. I had an old Savage 99C .308 that I just bought sight unseen, out of the safe to mount a scope on it. I was pretty happy with the way the bore scope performed. Was even happier with the barrel on that 99...no copper or lead deposits, the throat looks great. Only some very fine scratches in the barrel.
The scope was very clear.

Short Update. Scope showed up from Fedex 2 days ago with extra charges of $3.86 GST and $10 from Customs/CP for collecting the $3.86 in GST. Can you say ream job!.Good news is the company that supplies these to Amazon processed a refund to my credit card, no hassle no argument as Amazon is supposed to be all in pricing.

Got a chance to try it out this morning. I am truly impressed with the quality of the image, ease of use. I used it on a Samsung A8 after downloading the app from the Google Playstore. Easy to setup and use, great image quality. It is at least as good as the $800 Hawkeye, easier to use and will fit in a 204 bore, Hawkeye is limited to .224 and bigger.

It also confirmed again that Wipeout Liquid bore cleaner does an excellent job of getting rid of Copper. Not a speck in any of the many guns I checked. Also confirmed that Butch's Bore shine is great on carbon and that Hoppes 9 in the barrel keeps them shiny and nice in storage.

I checked a new 257 Bee, you can easily see how long the leade is but I was very impressed with how well made and smooth the barrel is for a factory barrel. It is as good as many customs.

I also checked a 7 RUM that has about 600 rounds through it. The Bore looks literally new, no sign of firecracking or wear. Very pleased with that considering the speed I am driving the 162 grain bullets at.

Also checked a 7 Rem Mag that has almost 3500 rounds on the barrel. There is a small amount of firecracking and some wear on the lands but for that high a round count it is actually really good. I would bet it easily has another 1500 rounds in it. That is great life out of a factory Rem barrel.

All in, VERY impressed with these scopes. Thanks again for the heads up.

I suspect the amazon.ca price will be >CA$200.

Good Luck, YMMV.

Nope here is the Amazon price. Even noticed that some company is making one that is 0.15 inches for the .17's.
Betting that this puts a kibosh on other borescope sales.

I love the pictures I get from mine both on the computer and on my phone.

How flexible is the cord on this borescope? Would you be able to bend it around objects like other inspection cameras? I was going to buy a new camera for work but they're all around 8mm diameter. If I got this one, i could use it in my rifles too.

The URL you posted is for Amazon.com.
IMHE, the Amazon.ca price is usually a LOT higher than currency difference.

Good Luck, YMMV.
