Fur Hat Care
I have a Russian style coyote fur hat. It’s a great hat, crazy warm and I wear it often. My issue is that the fur hangs down in my eyes, obstructs my view when looking through a rifle scope or binoculars. I find myself for ever lifting the hat up high on my head or trying to brush the fur out of my line of view. Is there a product that is safe to use on fur that would hold the fur up out of my line of view? I really don’t want to trim the fur but I can’t leave it as is.

You, my new comrade, have a wrong rifle! Real Russians do not use scopes! Iron sight is your only friend! Bhahahaha! Lol!
On a serious note, just take scissors and trim the long hair. Or use different hat.

A pic would help identify the problem. No issue with my 50 year old Beaver Hat
Maybe use the "There's is Something about Mary" hack

That’s kind of what I was thinking. Would hair spray damage the fur? Is there an unscented spray? Maybe there is a spray out there designed for use on furs?

Only your hairdresser knows for sure. Ask her or him.

Rather than hairspray use a pomeade type product. It won’t be sticky or smell like hairspray Will. Easier to control how much gets used. A little goes a long way. Won’t hurt the for at all and will rinse out with a little water if you want it back to all natural later.

Spray a bit of water on the hair, comb it up and let it freeze in that position.
Either that or buy a barrette.
