Default Burbot near Lloydminster

Just seeing if anyone was awarenof anywhere within reason of Lloyd that has Burbot. Interested in trying for them sometime. Everyone seems to want to fish for them so I am curious.

Angling lake, north on 897 past frog lake is about the only place I know of. I saw a guy tear them out nonstop a few years ago. Kehewin may have as well.

Lots of the lakes in the region have them, ministikwan, chain lakes by little fishing, makwa, upper makwa, jumbo, little jumbo. No one targets them in the area because there's far too many lakes with decent perch and walleye fishing.

Marie or Cold lake are the lakes i know of that people target them specifically in the Cold Lake area. Never heard of anyone catching one in tucker... although i have seen them dead in the beaver dams there, and Wolf can yield a couple on occasion in the spring. I thought they used to have some sort of small tournament with a burbot fry on cold lake...

It is not close to Lloyd but Slave has lots of burbot. Every year we catch more and more while targeting Walleye and Pike.
