Default Ammo for 270 WSM

Hi Everyone,

Just getting familiar with this caliber and almsot have one in my hands. Looking for advice on bullet weight. I will be using it for deer, and hopefully sheep/caribou sometime soon.

Was thinking of 140 gr. accubondds??

The 140 Accubond would be a good choice for sure. I've had good luck with my WSM using 130 gr TSX bullets personally.

I recently sold my .270wsm. As a result, I have components left over, quite a bit of brass. I can also give you advise such as annealing your necks for good brass life. Shoot me a pm if you want to discuss.

IMHO the 140 gr Nosler Accubonds are an excellent choice for deer/sheep/caribou (and elk as well). My wife's Win model 70 Featherweight in .270WSM can shoot 0.5 MOA with our 140 Accubond "handloads", and, has performed exceptionally well on deer and elk ...

140gr AB's for me in my reloads. Previous was factory Winchester Supreme Accubond CT's 140gr.

I use AB's in all my big game rifles.

140's in the 270WSM is pretty devastating. I am impressed with this bullet in the 270WSM.
