Default Just a Reminder For the Lunar Eclipse Tonight

Will reach full eclipse around 10:12 tonight, so start looking for changes before that. Hope some photographers are ready!

It seems like the halo is a huge diameter compared to usual... that thin film of cloud really makes it look nice

You can see it pretty good in Calgary right now. The moon is about half covered by the Earths shadow. I tried to take a picture with my phone but it didn't turn out.

Just went out and looked. About 2/3 is pretty orange. Nothing too spectacular.

Was pretty ho-hum with just my eyes, but dug out my binoculars and that made a huge difference; could really see the red/orange in it, huge improvement!

My simple hand held camera, no tripod or shutter release, this is as good as it got. As it got darker, exposure time got too long for hand held.

Thanks for posting this. Had no idea. Saw your post at 1010, went out and watched it off and on.

Definitely looked better through bino's. Unique combination of events to make it unique.
