On a positive note , I was impressed with Ken Hitchcock on CBC after hours . I didn't realise he had such roots in Edmonton. I would like to see him as the coach or even GM . He also said the only team he would come out of retirement for was the Oilers .

For starters get rid of those orange jerseys ..lol

Keep the orange jerseys and fire chia tomorrow morning. Let’s see Bob Nicholson earn his keep!

Chia has nothing to do with the lack of effort on the ice this weekend. He also has nothing to do with garbage like McDavid getting roughed up last night by Hathaway and it going unanswered. Since when does that stuff fly on any team?? There is something wrong in the room big time.

I'm guessing 5 against last night & 6 against already tonight doesn't really fit with Hitchcock's defense first strategy that was all the hype his first 10 games......

Coaches come and go in Edmonton to much already. Maybe I'm not reading Hitchcock right but look at what he's working with . I believe there's some players need to be fired first. The comment about something wrong in the dressing room is probably right , it's lack of skill and heart. They still have a chance which is even harder to understand .

The Scary thing is it’s a mix of everything that needs improvement, forward
Depth, defensive depth, goaltending and even prospects. If it was as simple as bringing in one or two players to solve the issues I wouldn’t be afraid. If it wasn’t for mcdavid this team would be in the basement and by a country mile.

Oh and I forgot, they have 50grand in cap space.

Haha it's not novice out there bud, McDavid was giving it back to Hathaway with cross checks to the back of the head. It's hockey, these things happen..

McDavid has been getting roughed up a lot more lately and the only one with consistent effort. We will see how he feels about his team sooner than later.

Absolutely. I just think the team needs to stick up for their superstar is all.

But not to worry everything is fine with the Oilers. A couple more first rounders and maybe a seventh coaching change in the last 9 years is all they need??

What they need is a “heart transplant” G.laraque

And it’s true, there’s three guys I see that seem to actually give a sht nearly every game, Connor, nuge and Russell. The majority of others show up occasionally, often taking a i don’t give a f game.

Drai, even though I like his production has to have some of the worst body language I’ve seen from a NHL player.

Back to back games with a lackluster performance. Couple more of those and it will be golf season.

The whole reason you got Luc was to protect Mcjesus and he isn't even doin g that. Teams have definitely noticed they can push him around more without consequences lately.

Hitch on After Hours was the highlight for me in two games played.

Basically. Chia needs to go over the All Star break. Nicholson needs to run the team while the search begins for an astute GM.

Didn't Nicholson bring in Chia? Hasn't he been part of this debacle for the last 3 to 5 years.

Default Flames versus oilers

Brotherly rivalry can be quite intense, But believe me if the oilers were playing for the stanley with a outsider,The flames fans would be in the line up fighting for tickets---I was thinking while watching the one sided game---can you imagine combineing the best of both teams--johnny and macd on the same line for starters--could be like the glory days-the great one cof--mess--etc.

Chia HAS to have some kind of blackmail on Nicholson and/or Katz...no other explanation on why he isn't gone.
