Default Need machinist to convert dies.

I have three full length dies that I would like converted to bushing dies. These dies are a boutique shop die with a bit of a different design but would convert well I believe. Does anyone have a recommendation? Thanks.

I’m sure Chuck will get right on that.

Perhaps Rempel would be worth contacting.

I'd probably call Henry Rempel first as well.

Let us know how this turns out. I like hearing about these kind of projects.

They are. That’s why I want to talk to a machinist.

If they are hardened they could be machines but need to use carbide cutting tools

My bet is that it will turn out to be cheaper to just buy three bushing dies. If the company that makes the dies also has bushing versions I would call them about a trade or refit. Being pre-rigged and used to doing the work it is likely going to be cheaper. Look forward to hearing how this turns out.
