In preparation for trapping season I finally got around to building a magpie to ease the itch to start early ..a simple 18" wide x 22" hi x24 " long wire cage , no bottom and a foot long tapered wire funnel for a door ... baited with a string of dogfood leading thru the opening ....set it up at sunrise and at 10 a.m. i had 4 ..good bye noise makers and robbers.
