Default Rough Est. 13'x20' overhead door.

Looks like I will be needing a new shop door in the future, mine is getting pretty beat.
Wondering if anyone here deals with these or has gotten one put in lately.

Looking for a basic insulated overhead door with a row of windows at eye level.
manual chain opener. I'm not sure what can be saved from the track, springs ect so looking for an idea on what an all new install would cost.

I probably won't be doing it this year, so I don't want to bother with getting anyone out for a quote yet. Just looking for a ROUGH cost.

Thanks, Buckbrush

My dad had a standard white, believe it was 8'x10' installed with opener for around $1,200.00. I think most places would provide a relatively hassle free quote.

I did a 16 wide by 12 tall two years ago for 1200. The bigger the door the better the deal, tow 8x12s would have been 1600.

Just did a 14'x20' on a commercial building with insulated doors, chain opener, and a row of windows as you describe it for around $5500. The work included a little bit of "framing" more or less to add some structure to where the hardware was bolted and to make the opening a little less drafty but not much work really. I'd guess maybe they charged me like $500-$600 for the framing maybe.

Commercial:
Just did one 14x16 and cost was $2586 or $12/sqft, so yours would be roughly $3120. this is in the city and they did 5 doors, cost for a single would be more, this does not include extra framing that they require. opener was $1000, control work by the electrician.
