Default Ruger American vs Savage International trophy hunter ??

So I was set on buying the 30-06 111/11 trophy hunter and as soon as the man in the store was going to hand it over, he said good luck... American is better. Is it really?

I had the 111 and I really like it. Shot under a inch at 100yards. People have this idea that savages are crap. They are not. I have the ruger American predator in 22-250 and also really like it. It also shots under a inch at 100. I like my sako 85 the most lol but you get what you pay for. As long as you put a decent scope on it you'll hit whatever you need

Why would it be? They're both at about the same entry level rifle tier, and it's pretty common knowledge that savages shoot (even though some might not like the way they look while they're doing it). I think you'll be equally satisfied with either...

Sounds like typical gun counter bs to me.

I have a 111 in 30-06 . Shoot 1-2 in groups . I have a axis that did the samein 243 , then I put a rifle basic,s trigger, Boyd's stock and wow tack driver ! Always under 1 in and usually touching. It's my second fave gun . And it's the cheapest thing out there . Depends what you want and what feels good to you . But I think Savage are great guns .

I have never had a Savage that shot. But it may be the paper bag I put on so no one sees me with that ugly a gun
