Brother in law hates eating snow geese and won't shoot one, Hornhead however considers them terrific tasting!
I know more than a few hunters who won't step outside the house for a white tail, but will hunt moose until they die.
Still others will not hunt a particular animal or bird because of their personal ethics, while others think nothing of it.

Alberta specific: no to bison, don't get me wrong, awesome animals, probably taste good and would feed you for a longgggg time. I just have a soft spot for the big guys.
Yes to bull moose. My lifelong favourite animal in our wild.

yes = black bear, love eating them, watching them, and the fur is amazing.(close second is Bison, but that's more of a pipedream with les than 1% draw success)

No: Anything exotic or anything that I wouldn't eat. This includes anything from Africa, bears/cougars/wolves (unless it's self defense), lynx, etc..

Was listening to a podcast with remi warren and he mentioned that the hardest animal he has ever had to stalk was a giraffe. Mostly cause they an see you coming from so far off. He was hired to do tick control with a paintball gun filled with tick powder encapsulated paintballs, same idea if using anything but a rifle. Otherwise, yah it would be too easy. Not my thing either

Yes - I want to get a badger with a nice winter coat but I only ever see them in the summer.

Just like some other guys, no interest in African animals, nothing against hunting them, just not interested.
But nothing gets my thumper pumping like a surprise wolf shoot. Enjoy the moose hunting too.
