When I announce that I was retiring, some people asked if I was moving home, to which I replied, Alberta is my home. Even though I wasn't born in Alberta, I worked and paid taxes in Alberta for 35 years, my entire working career, so I consider myself an Albertan. Yet some people that were born in Alberta , but that spent most of their lives living elsewhere, consider themselves to be Albertans, but they don't consider me to be an Albertan.

16 years and 4 kids all born here. I too am home. Just hate the labelling we get. Not everyone is the same. Its a hard sell on a site with few easterners but I have listened to that type of BS since well....16years ago.

Peace and love.

Well now that Ab is the have not province, hopefully the easterner's will let us come over and give us jobs and hunting/fishing privileges. It would be interesting to see how others would react to having draw times ranging into the decades because of an influx of population and a government that doesn't give a crap about the outdoorsman.
