The fastest time was 2:06 which I believe was the fastest ever time in a competition

What are the rules? What are you allowed to use? The Hutterite guy that used to do all of mine had a cable that he had set to 2 different heights. And he was VERY fast. You need to post some pics...maybe even video... of this comp for us. Would be very interesting.

The rules are you must skin a complete coyote including removing the tail bone just as you would for a regular fur hide. Everyone skins normally but If you want to waste time and use a winch I guess you could. You won't win but you can try. Damage is assessed and penalized. No damage occurred on any coyotes last year.

The Saskatchewan Trappers Association Facebook page has a complete video from last year. Join the group and scroll through to watch it

As far as I know Justin has the fastest time in Alberta at around 2:17 from the floor. The 2:06 time was set by Ruben last year in Saskatchewan. As for Jackie, nobody can touch him on beaver but I am proud to say that I beat him on coyotes in Pincher Creek.

Here's the Facebook link to the Saskatchewan speed skinning video. I can't promise it will work but it's worth a try. If not go to Saskatchewan Trappers Association Facebook page, join the group and scroll through til you find the video.

At pincher when you brought all the coyotes the same size all snared was one of the most fair skinning competition we had in years. Having you bring your own is a good idea any points for the biggest coyotes skinned?
