Default Shooting around Rocky?

So I hear there is a nice spot outside rocky somewhere that a guy can do some long range shooting out on crown land. Anyone from rocky that has an idea where a guy can go?
Apparantly it might be a hush hush spot so feel free to send a pm if you know such a spot.

So did I but it's too far for me to go. And the location is 5x.xxxxxx, 1xx.xxxxxx.

Not to worry, this thread will be deleted also. Don't bother to PM me, I'm not giving it up. Sorry.

Doesn't Rocky have a very nice range? From what I have heard it is well kept and is fairly priced. That wont do??

Sorry to rub it in, but it's a great spot to which unfortunately most have provided no help on setting it up or maintaining it. I was lucky enough to be shown it with a couple individuals that helped build it up.

Do not feel bad if you are not given free rein on a location you had no help in building, or no idea if you are a trustworthy to keep it clean and maintained as others do.

I apologize if anyone feels like they are being picked on, but I also assume most of the good members on AO understand where I am coming from.

But its crown land, if I want to shoot there, I will. Like I said before, just because somebody put up some targets and metal, doesnt make it theirs.

Yeah, but too many people are too damn lazy to clean up after themselves. Been driving past a forestry "gun range" the last few days. I know that's what it is because of the shot up targets and crap left there. Ain't telling where cause it will attract more idiots.

Wondering the same myself. Maybe there should be a thread about who got banned- and for what. Go ahead and take down the thread, sure.
But it took me a long time to figure out why pool noodles are a no-go in these here parts. If there was a sticky or something saying don't post about pool noodles, because ________ and _______ I feel it would be helpful.

I don't blame said builders from keeping it from the public. I've done it myself because I've seen what the public does to places they know about. I'm doing it again soon.

Sad that it has to get to this, but that's the way it is.

The internet can be a huge asset and a huge pain at the same time.

In this case I think the lynch mob lead by cement bench and his legalese is uncalled for even though I understand his (their) frustration. If on crown land you can never expect privacy.

Tough situation.

Some people make good neighbors, some people are interesting. Who would you consider more interesting Al Capone or Joe Clark?

People make mistakes. It happens. He said he was going to big valley, I can only assume it is to pick up some replacement steel for the stuff that was stolen. At least he is trying to make right of the situation.

I'm sorry you boys lost your shoot spot. Apparently to many people knew about your top secrete spot in the first place. If it was kept a secrete, then skytop wouldn't have known about it.

Sorry to rub it in, but these folks have no 'right' to leave a bunch of backstops or steel gongs on crown land, so technically there's nothing to set up or maintain.

Whenever I go shooting, my targets and shells leave with me. If people leave stuff there, they can't expect it to be there when they return. I'm not advocating theft, but crown land is crown land.

One of my 'spots' around Calgary has gotten really popular, and it's an absolute pigpen with the garbage that people have left. It's sad because it will probably get the attention of the authorities now too. My last visit there will be my last at that location, and I took several garbage bags of other people's trash home with me.

So eager to jump on the wagon Dale? Don't know you from a hole in the ground and this is what you come up with. You know I did Bob a little favor a while back and went out of my way to deliver him something so he could finish a customers project without any concern for being reimbursed for it. This is the things people do for guys they respect. So anyone thinking that I am somehow trying to step into Bob's territory or out do him in some way is simply twisted. I respect 6.5 x 47L and that's the end if it. So you all can be civil human beings ir you can all jump on that wagon and head straight off a cliff.
