Default Police Image

Possibly one bad apple who may or may not have used really poor judgement.
Not actually sure what to think. Lots of collateral damage there and it's really a shame that the good people policing get tainted by this kind of thing.

I'm sure that an officer "taxing" a drug trafficker isn't something new.

Unfortunate how human nature works ....... gives the good cops a bad name.

That’s awesome. Hopefully took his kids and wife out for a nice supper. Tomorrow he may not be there to take them out for supper. Tough job and some dirt bags blood money helps I’m sure.

Once again, a camera exposes a crime.

I hope that's sarcasm, otherwise you are definitely not smoking marijuana.

Gotta be really tempting, seeing all that cash and knowing no one has counted it yet.

With the exception of the perp, who probably counted it numerous times daily while hunched over saying "My precious"

Exactly. A friend of mine owns a company here in Edmonton. His secretary got nearly a million over a couple of years. I still have no idea how he didn't notice ....

It shouldn't be tempting for an honest person.

If the officer was honest, the camera would not have caught him putting money in his sock.

Sorry, my bad, I was trying to be sarcastic. We all know that honest people don't steal and that not everyone is honest.

To serve summons and protect themselves.......

The sad part is, I knew the officer dodged all the charges within the second paragraph of the article. Its becoming so common its predictable.

I'm not surprised, I grew up in Abbotsford and had a stupid lowered truck, one day my truck was seized for being to low, I had cashed my cheque at the retail store I worked at.
When I got my truck back the next day there was no cash or my Maui Jim fishing sunglasses, when I brought it up with the APD the answer was if an item wasn't documented it was never there to start with...... convenient
