Default Fishing Spots 40 Mile

Just starting fishing at 40 Mile Reservoir and am looking for a few suggestions as to when/where to fish. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks.

Fished it 3 times this year, once in May, June and July. Caught 3 walleye all together and 1 pike. Good luck to you man. Anybody have any better luck than that?

Whaaat? 20 bucks to launch a boat? Everybody is trying to stiff the sportsman, I was sure that launch was put in by the gov.

People are extreamly tight lipped about 40 mile and a few other spots around that area, lots of walleye in there and some big ones as well 10+ lbers, people who fish it regularly do very well. Also I believe the SWAT used it as a replacement location for one of their walleye Derby's and it produced lots of good fish. Get in there and have a look around!

I spent the $20.00 for a season pass. Heading out tomorrow to give it a shot. Up until now, i've only fished from shore. This spring i bought my first boat so i'm just learning the lay of the land out on the lake.

$20 there and at rattlesnake. At rattlesnake they even have a nice sign saying that the park was government funded.

Its $60 for a season pass not $20. Bring lots of bait, there is and incredible amount of 2-3" perch in that lake.

Went there for the first time this past weekend. We ended up with one walleye over the 55cm required to keep them., and one just under. The problem was dealing with the gazillion small perch in there. Must have caught about 80 of them and only one was a decent size. There are big fish in there, just need to figure out where they are and how to get past the small ones.

Spent most of the day out there with no success. Unless you call catching tons of 2-3" perch lucky lol. Very slow day fishing. May or may not try giving it another shot ..............
