Default Freezer Fillers

Now that the red deer roar is over its a great time to hunt public land in New Zealand. The number of hunters drops off and the stags are out feeding to put condition back on. In May this year I hunted some nearby public land hoping to see a stag. After 4 hours glassing no stags were found but I did see 3 deer that would nicely fill the freezer.

Type of country hunted - its regenerating farm land.

I took the shot from here.

Should be some great eating.
