We came through there 2 weeks ago from QCI. Lots of action happening. This is the best year I have ever seen for the numbers of chinook out there.
Have fun

We were in Rupert the last week of July and did not do as well as other people are reporting. We found that other than pinks, which were thick as could be, the salmon fishing was slow. There were three other boats at the motel we stayed at that also had poor fishing. Most took home pinks to fill their limit. Our fishing time was also cut short by the weather. It was very windy for a few days.25 knot winds and larger than 1 meter waves. This was my fifth year at Rupert and my poorest luck. I guess that is why they call it fishing and not catching.
