Default Happy Canada Day!!! What are the plans?

Happy Canada folks!!! Looks like it will be too hot for some some load development, so looks like it's going to be a top off the Jeep and head to Blackfoot Rec Area to rip it up on the mountain bikes kinda day. What say you?

Taking the bike out of town to meet the wife and boy at a pancake brekkie with her family.
Then back to the office until heading to a bbq in the late afternoon. I love holidays, no one else in the office and productivity doubles

Making pizza with pork sausage on the BBQ and drinking margaritas in Kabul. All during Ramadan. I am definitely going to hell one day.

Given that I missed out on it on Sunday I shall brew a batch of beer this afternoon in salute to Bob & Doug Mckenzie.

On a tour of Italy. Going to have a great steak and a fine bottle of wine with some other Canadians we have met on the trip. Had many people ask us today where we got the Canadian Flag tattoos the kids where wearing. Happy Birthday Canada, hope you all enjoy the day!

I'm being quintessentially Albertan/Canadian, collecting double bubble while moving natural resources from production to market.

Yay, Canada!

Pretty laid back, sdvc and I hit the range this morning.
through together a light load of 150's for the .303, works great offhand, with the express sights or the scope.

Default Finally stopped with the wind rain and cold so chukars are evicted from barn

436 chukars kicked out of the barn and into the flight pens. 3 cart loads of prime garden fertilizer followed them outside.
Shower and cold beer before evening dog training session when it cools off a bit.
A dog client brought whole family to see dog progress and have family learn all commands in use now and when. Great family with 12 year old girl and about 7 year old boy who really found all aspects of the farm fascinating. Asked him if he wanted to see some baby birds before he left as we were hatching that day.
he asked his dad why we have so many birds and dad who is a hunter explained the birds are used to train the dogs to hunt and then the hunters keep the meat because pheasants taste so good.
I walked them into the brooder room where there are 4 brooders of young birds and the temperature is nearly 85 degrees.
When the little boy got hit by the heat walking into the room and seeing the birds under the brooder lights he asked if the lights were cooking the baby birds already!

What fun would that be? At least it was in the back beside the ugly wall and razor wire.
