Default Last to go

Time to take the last of the year to Marty's. Got a new skinner this year and we are happy with his work.

Yes that's my son KBF here on the forum . We had a lot of fun as well as the usual frustrations . Both learned a few things as well . We finished with 73 , 72 skinned . Mange only on one and another damaged by birds . Lots more fun when you have a son to share the experience

Wicked picture. Got a few bucks hanging there to justify the hard work and I love the old stone foundation. Have a shower, pat yourself on the back and wait for the check to come buddy. Good for you.👍

Nice job! The fawns, calves, chicks that won't be eaten this spring commend you.

Good job Cam, good pict too! Ya, I do think these prices are going to hold, have heard from numerous dealers that they just did not buy the coyotes this year, meanwhile, did seem to catch quite a bunch of coyotes as usual. Perhaps they are all Nafa bound? I'll know this fall when the regs come out with our harvest total.

Thanx Marty, you know better than most of us and I hope you are correct about the price . Some folks say that this sale will exceed last one in price but how much higher can they realistically go ? .

Thanx , we had that 100 goal for this year until one of our newer spots permission fell thru . We could have come close if it hadn't .If we can get maybe 2 more bait spots we will make it . 60 of our take came from 2 bait sites . Guys on this forum catch way more dogs than me , but the work load usually goes up accordingly. When you have as much fun at it as we do it doesnt feel like work .

Default coyote pelts

That's a nice large building - all that field stone foundation / wall
They sure don't build 'em like that anymore.
Not many dark yotes there...
Lots of work processing a coyote... its a special talent that can only be derived from practice.
Good job!

Thanx for the compliment , but I can't take the credit for the pelt prep. We have a friend that skins for us and he does a great job .
The barn truly is a marvel , like I said earlier built in 1905 with 18" rock walls , 7 box stalls up one side and 4 on the other with a head gate to catch problem cases . All fir lumber 8x8 support beams , 2x12 floor joists and 1x6floor planking . Loft holds up to 1000 bales of hay and straw. Sliding doors on bottom each end to allow entry . 36'x60' inside dimensions ... alley down the center doubles as an archery lane when we get a chance in the off season . lol.

Did I catch one of your Southern Coyotes, Cam?

Pelts look funny because there's an industrial fan blowing on them.
