Exclamation Truck through the ice?

Heard a truck went through the ice on pierce lake in Saskatchewan? Anyone here about that? Also a few trucks got an eye opener on cold lake as they got seriously stuck, I was out there on the wk-end on the quad...don't like what I see in certain areas...be careful folks!

Are they getting stuck trying to get over a ice heave or just some deep snow they found on Cold lake?

Yes truck went down in Pierce. Not a total submersion. Pictures on Facebook.

Truck went down where everyone was crossing small ice heaves just out from Sandy beach. I would say the access from Sandy Beach is done for this year. The heaves are up to 5 feet high pushing up on the south shore.

Oops. Wonder if he'll sell me that tonneau cover cheap. . .

Growing up in Invermere I can remember there would almost always be one or two through the ice each year. Good to know the lake you're about to drive on, and how to read the ice conditions.

Is it just me or did that look like a pretty obvious spot to try and avoid? Hope nobody got hurt in that deal. Time to just let things freeze back up nicely again. No fish is worth dying over. Give it a week or two and should be good to go again, weather is turning cold again and that will help heal things up for end of the season!

That might only need some greasing and will still be in good condition. Lots of choices for quality tonneau covers nowadays on lower price. We had good experience with BAK for warranty.
