Default Gas Prices a Year Ago.....

Even adding 5 cents a liter for the carbon tax, something doesn't make sense.....

Not trying to defend the carbon tax here, but last year on feb 9 WTI was at its lowest at 29$/barrel, almost 1/2 the price today.

All the local refineries are bursting at the seams with diesel they cannot sell because the market dried up but it still commands top dollar.

Yep, doesn't make sense.... However, it's a good thing that I've got an app that just alerted me to a gas price hike upcoming this evening of between 9 & 11 cents per liter.... Fill 'er up now boys!

They don't have to explain it, they know we'll just put up with it because, hey they're allowed to continue to make their profits off the peaceful Albertans.

Point of interest, regular gas has increased by 5 cents A GALLON in Missoula in the last couple months.

Where are all those anti big oil protesters when you need them? LOL

I don't think they even bother with the lame excuses or explanations any more do they? They want more money they raise the price, that is the only actual reason, the rest is just the same old BS.

I've noticed that if Costco doesn't raise its price the increase will last only about a week. If Costco raises its price then the increase will last a while.

Last February I used all the jerrycans I could find and put 200L into my RV. At a savings of 50¢/L it was well worth it and it was burned off by may long. (This is where someone says it was stale and I risked damage to my engine)

As gas prices never went up in the US to speak of, you're saying the Albertan public alone is responsible to pay for these things? That doesn't seem correct to me, it sounds more like you're trying to make excuses for the oil companies?

Well looks like you're getting your wish. 45 cents a gallon jump in Alberta while just across our southern border, no increase. Can you imagine the uprising there'd be in the US, or elsewhere, if they tried to pull this sh1t?
