Default Rabbit hunting in zone 936

Has anyone hunted rabbits in 936, I know they allow big game hunting in that zone as long you have obtained the firearm discharge license from them.

I was wondering if thats a good area for rabbit hunting. Also I wanted to go rabbit hunting in mid of April, is that a good time to hunt rabbits. I don't have a dog, so any tips will be good on rabbit hunting.

Thanks

Rabbits fall under rodents, therefore ther are no seasons on them . I don't know anything about the 900 zones but every zone in the 300 to 400 zone allows it.
I personally don't shoot them at this time of year as they are mating or pregnant.
If you are in dire need of rabbit meat then do it now before it gets too warm, bugs ...parsites ETC.

As it is a Provincial Rec area the only things you can hunt for are the ones you get a license for. So Rabbit hunting is out of the question. Also they won't issue a discharge permit to you which is required.
