Sounds like a great day.

Haven't fished Maligne nor Medicine for many years. Love to go back. Any place you'd recommend to stay at that isn't too expensive?

Do you think fishing would be OK in a pontoon boat? Couldn't go far from the lodge, as I know the lake can get pretty nasty, but is fishing good in that small area?

Fishing in Jasper Park Lakes are electric motor only

but with a 55# motor n 2 Deep cycle batteries r30 you should be ok

Online Sports has rentals at some lakes in Jasper talk to Rye

we went about to Hidden Bay entrance and back n forth in spots

try n stay in that 12fow to 25fow n you should do good

stop at the bridge and watch the spawning rainbows as they are there now

as for lodging there is lots in valley with hotels n hostels in park with campgrounds

also Hinton is 45minutes away with every thing too

Fishing has slowed down considerably, at least last Saturday. May have been a weather change.

Did locate fish with the sounder in 30 FOW on the bottom at the narrows of home bay near the weed bed drop off.
