If anyone knows these scruffy fellas, remind them of the whole respect for private property thing.

Saddle hills. Lots of green zone to join the hoards of other hunters but still can’t keep the rules.

That's a war zone. I wouldn't think of going into the hills first three weeks of rifle. If you do wear some orange.

Default All is well that ends well

All is well that ends well. The fellas in the picture got ahold of me and made everything right. They were very friendly and it was an actual honest mistake and I fully take their word for it. As a landowner I have put up with a few bad apples and it has my guard up. That being said I’d appreciate this being left up for a few hours so all who have commented can see the outcome and after that let’s take their hairy faces off the Internet.
Thanks,
Jason.

While it sucks that they didn’t have the awareness to know where they were and that it’s private land - good on them for at least owning up to it and contacting you about it.
It’s a rare thing these days for someone to admit they did the wrong thing, and to make it right.

Looks like they are admiring your Crops. One looks like he has some Irish in him. Maybe a Newfoundlander, or From Halifax.

Good on those guys for getting in contact with you. Awesome to see. Even better that you were forgiving. Happy ending!

Default Positive

At least the guys reached out to you and apologized. I understand how frustrating with trespassers on your land.

It's always an honest mistake, if you get caught. What's that saying about being better to beg forgiveness, than asking permission ?

Seeing the best in people has always served me pretty well in life. These guys were right honest about the situation And would be part of the minority of respectful hunters from what I can see.

Thanks,
Jason.

Glad they called and apologized. You can take the pictures down yourself by just deleting the attachments. That way the thread can stay but no pictures.

Go to user CP left side of page banner, click on that, bottom of the far left column is "Attachments". Just delete the ones for this thread.

The sad fact is that this type of mistake can usually be avoided, by simply looking at a landowner map. But some people don't have maps, or I Hunter, and they don't verify the location before proceeding onto land to hunt. I was out scouting geese last night and even though I thought I knew who owned the property, referring to the map showed that the quarter was subdivided, and the part of the quarter that I was interested in belonged to someone else. But knowing that, I was able to get permission from the correct landowner.
