Default Value of Marlin 55 12 Gauge

I have a Marlin 55 in 12 gauge with a 28" barrel that I'm thinking about maybe selling. It has just the basic front bead. Does anyone have any idea what a fair price for this would be in good condition? Thanks.

Default M 55 12g

80 to 100 bucks...maybe. Original barrel length was 26", 28" or 36". Some also had a poly-choke type set up. Made 1950 to 1965.

I would think that $100 is on the really low side in poor condition.
Dad had a Mossberg 185 12ga bolt/poly choke when I was a kid, first shotgun I ever hunted with actually.I see them come up for sale every so often asking $150-$300....$200-$250 seems to be about avg?I only notice because I’ve often considered buying one when I see them for sale just for nostalgia.Ive taken that ol gun on the school bus then leaned it in the boot closet at school for the day and hunt my way way home on more then a few occasions, try doing that today, lol

At every gun auction I go to, the general prices are really high.
Except for bolt action shotguns.
They never seem to break $100.

The ol polychoke Mossberg was a kinda cool and versatile platform back in the day.As a youngster,my buddy and I had a regular Saturday morning hike where we could hit 1/2 dozen beaver ponds and small lakes over the course of a few miles.Id open up the choke to IC and load up with 7.5s hunting grouse in between the ponds, then screw it down to FC and load up with #4 lead to sneak up on the ponds and jumpshoot ducks.....good times.🙃
