Rifle Range Edmonton Area
I was just curious as to the rifle ranges in the area.
Are they all membership only?
What are the good ones?
Do any offer day pass around hunting season?
I live in Stony Plain.
Thanks

Spruce Grove
I shoot at Spruce Grove Gun Club. http://www.sprucegrovegunclub.com/loc.shtml
Nice range, 2 rilfe ranges, 1 x 100m, 1x 300m
Its member or guest of member only but worth it as it is close to you.

X2 what kayaker said. No day p*****. Guest must be accompanied by member. $10 fee for the guest. I think membership is $128 year or $138 for family (of two).

Have a look at the sticky at the top of this section.
Information on almost every range in Alberta is in there.

The range is not in SP, it is quite a ways South of the city. Only members may discharge firearms at the range, and the membership is capped, so no new members until 2018.

Wildwood, just west of you in Stony Plain. Membership is a requirement, although you can be a guest of a member. Cost is $110 per year (not a calendar year). Membership renews in late March, I believe. Range is out to 304 yards, 50 yards (pistol & rimfire), and a nice trap field. Lots of steel and reactive targets are allowed (if there isn't a fire ban).
Very nice range. Great people. Most of the time it's not busy.
My 2 cents.

I'll correct a few mistake in this post.
Memberships are $160 per year. The range is in metres. The long range goes out to 800m. But with the almost three year fight with the CFO, the long range has been closed. You can come as a guest of a member and the cost per visit is $20.

The post you quoted is from 2009, when the range was open.
