Edit: I count 8 licenses for WT and a few of those include either MD or WT

Resident Whitetail
Antlerless Whitetail
Supplemental Whitetail x2
Strathcona Whitetail x3
Foothills Deer (either species) x2
WMU 212/248 Deer (either species) x2
Wainwright Deer (either species) x2
Combining general and special licences, a licenced hunter could get tags for up to Thirteen Whitetailed deer per year.

When you purchase your suplemental tag's on the white paper copie that comes with the tag. It tells you what zone each tag is good for. Also a friendly reminder keep you white paper copies with you at all times.

How does it work with gender. Could you in theory harvest 3 antlered deer or 3 antler less deer?

If I shoot a buck in 446 this fall does that mean I can't shoot a arrow a buck in 410 later in the year?

Thanks

Anterless means no antlers so under 4" you tag it anterless over 4" antlered not rocket science there's no theory behind it pretty cut and paste simple

There is no gender in Alberta.

It's either antlerless or antlered.

I shot a male deer last year, but it had nubs for antlers, so it was tagged antlerless.

Always amasses me how often a simple reg question turns into a slugfest. I hate to ask anything about regs on this forum anymore.
While some regs are ambiguous , this one seems pretty straightforward. I feel sorry for OP.

I also have a question on supplemental tags. I read the regs and the answer I am looking for just isn't jumping out.
Can I use my general whitetail tag and also the supplementals on top of the general, assuming I am in the correct zones, etc.
I will pick WMU 314.

So can I harvest 2 whitetail deer then? General tag used on a buck for example and the first supplemental tag used on an antlerless?

"The Supplemental Antlerless White-tailed Deer Licence is issued with two tags.

The FIRST tag issued with the licence (but NOT the second tag) is valid for tagging a deer hunted in one of the following WMUs: 310-314, 322, 324, 330, 332, 336-349, 351, 354, 356, 357, 360, 436-439, 505, 507-510, 523, 526, 527, 535 and 537.

Both tags are valid for tagging a deer(s) hunted in any of the following WMUs: 350, 352, 353, 355, 440-446, 511, 512, 515-521, 524, 525, 528-531, 534, 536, 539, 540, 542 and 544."

Correct. No order needs to be followed (can use general tag first) just make sure your supplemental tag is only used for antlerless as defined in regs and that it is supplemental tag 1 if in 314 as stated. General in that wmu is good for antlered or antlerless so can be used to tag either. Two does total, or a buck and a doe total doesn’t matter. Good luck out there!

I believe it is the way it is worded “first” that causes the confusion. I did not grow up with a hunting background but am lucky that I have some pretty good guys I can bounce stuff off without them making me feel stupid lol
