Default LRX Ammo 7mm

Anyone know a store carrying the Barnes LRX ammo? I'd like to try some but won't have time to reload any before hunting season this fall. Anyone have any experience with the 7mm RM and the 139 LRX vs the 140/150 grain TTSX?

Otherwise, what would you guys recommend for an elk hunt this fall? 140/150 gr TTSX or 160 gr TSX? Looking to switch to lead-free bullets. Eventually, I hope to handload the 145gr LRX for an all around load for deer/elk/moose. Thoughts?

Honestly? As long as they shoot acceptably well? It won't matter.

Wit ha well placed shot, any of the Barnes bullets you mentioned will reliably kill an elk. Find one that shoots well in your rifle and don`t forget to post the pictures

I'm testing the 150 ttsx in my 24" sako finnlight right now. Excellent groups from 69-73.5 g retumbo 3100+ fps my rifle loves them.
The 160 are not tipped and from my reading it really helps for expansion if you are thinking of any shots where your bullet will impact near or below 2000 fps .. also you should look into the stability of the 160's as the mono bullets are longer than compared to regular jacketed bullets.

I am planning on shooting mine for elk moose out to 400 yards where the bullet will be 2200 fps +.

I chose the 150 over the 145 as I feel a bit more weight for those big bones mite help... but 5g probably means nothing in the grand scheme and the better BC mite help...
