Default Kananaskis River Fishing

I was wondering if anyone has fished the Kananaskis River upstream of Upper Kananaskis Lake. I was thinking of heading up to Forks Backcountry Campground in late June, and was wondering if it would be fishable. Thanks.

Hit and miss fishing, due to the water levels dropping and rising, fished it a few times over the years, nice scenery but not a lot of numbers.

The kan used to be a good cutthroat fishery before the dams. I would imagine above the upper lake is probably still worth the time and work getting in there. I do see some potential waterfalls that act as fish barriers but I would bet theres still come undisturbed cutthroat around.
