Default Aging eyes, what help is there?

What is on the market that helps with focusing on your pins? As of late the ole peepers arent like they used to be and I hate to give up bowhunting because of that.

I use a peep with a clarifier lense in it, i was at the point where all my pins had a fuzzy blur around them. All archery shops should be able to help you out.....it saved me from 2nd guessing every shot

Many of us ole timers will get "Far Sighted" ...meaning we can see great further out in distance but need reading glasses for close up...arms seem to shrink...lol

As SCHOOCH stated ..the clarifier is an option...

If its not...
-A longer sight base rail...will help with focus
-A larger peep

I dont use a peep which also helps...

A thing to remember is we dont focus on the pins to begin with...

when shooting we focus on the target...stare a hole on the x of the X...aim small-miss small...pick a spot...

Then the pin- without refocusing on pin -is brought onto target in Peripheral vision...biggest issue is shooters who try focusing on pin than target than pin...etc....thats when things get very blurry

-Smaller pins or experiment with brightness

Some things to ponder...near everyone reading this at some point will need reading glasses...lol

i got a larger Peep fitted a few months ago and everything became easier, it is fairly inexpensive and may make the difference. If not you have not broken the bank.

Might want to try Dr. Barry Nolt, The Shooters Optometrist in Edmonton. Ad is bottom right hand corner of Forum's Main Category. This guy sure helped me and is very familiar with rifle and archery sight necessities.

Default ageing eyes

I recently went to bigger pins. .29 instead of .19 It made a huge difference in seeing the pin on the intended target for me.
