Default Fisher abscess looking to drain it

Just fleshed a nice small fisher but she has an abscess. I'm going to lance it from the skin side to drain it.

Can feel it from the fur side so I need to do something with it.

What do you folks think?

Will you be able to do it once the pelt is a little drier. Might even dry out on its own?

This what it looks like after it dried skin side and fur side. Hopefully it does not effect the grade.

Hard to tell from the pic but I don't think you have to worry too much. You could just cut it out and sew it up before you dry it next time.
