Default whats your snaring %?

Whats your snaring % per week?

For example if you have 100 snares out and you get 3 coyotes a week your % would be 3%.

100% for the snares that I caught a coyote in.

It's pretty complicated for me to figure out but I'll give it a shot.

One week of 10 snares, two weeks of twenty snares and four weeks of 30 snares (approx) gives me an average of having 21 snares/week for 7 weeks (without mentioning the snares not replaced after a catch).

I've caught over 30 coyotes, so, 30 / 7 = 4 coyotes/week in 21 snares = 20% (approx).....I think.

My brain hurts, I need to lie down.

Too hard to figure out. I just know that a very low percentage actually make it to my bait and get out is what matters lol

This year my % is pretty low. Guessing 1-2%. Rough guess though. Hoping things pick up soon.

All depends on when you figger it out. I've got a bait that for the first month had 19 coyotes caught off it. Usually 7-8 snares an almost a coyote a day. Last 2 weeks hasn't produced any coyotes. Put bait out in new area an caught 2 out of 7 snares on third day. I expect a good week of producing then slowing down. You'll never get all of the coyotes in an area with just using one technique. Some won't go in a snare just as some won't come to a call.

This seems true. I think I've got a couple coyotes that are wise to the snares now. Refusals seem to be increasing. Braggadoe has me thinking I should reinvest some of my fur money into footholds.

I was at around 20% a week in the peak. Took on a new area tonight. Built 35 snares with kill springs going out in the am. Should peak again. Looks like the QE2 some places.

Looking forward to some of the "crashes " on your Highway sets ..lol . I've got one spot like that too , but don't dare set em cause the landowners dogs some time stray that way .Expecting them to get strung up by some yotes , but hasn't happened yet . 40 snares for 3 weeks and 17 catches , whatever that works out to .
