Default coey 22 with a rabbit engraved on the stock

My brother recently rolled his quad & broke the stock on the 22 my grampa gave him nearly 40 years ago. It has a rabbit engraved on the stock. I'd like to find him an original replacement stock for it. It was the last thing my grampa ever gave him & it holds a special spot in his heart. I'm not sure what the model number is but I can find out. I'd like to surprise him with it, I know he shed a tear or 2 when it happened. He was far more upset about the 22 than the damage to the quad. I'm not sure where to begin to look for a stock but I thought some of the members on here may know where I could look.

IIRC it's a mod 39 or mod 750. Contact western gun parts in Edmonton. They have a very awesome selection of gun parts.

I believe that you have a model 64. Put out an add here and on CGN, and check various gunshows. You might have to purchase the whole gun, but they're not that expensive, maybe $50.00 will get you one. Quads have ruined many a stock.

Model 600 was the bolt action with the tube mag, 750 was the single shot. Good look finding a replacement, those things are like finding hens teeth

How is the stock broken? Cracked, broken at the wrist?

It can likely be repaired with no worries regarding strength. The sentimental value is in the original wood and steel, something a new stock can't fix.

Post up a pic if you can.

The stock is a write off, it was broken in 2 pieces. One of the members here may have one for me. It sounds like it's the right stock, my brothers isn't the single shot it has the tube feed.

Just found a used stock at Western Gun Parts here in Edmonton. Thanks for the tip Redneck Renegade & Thanks to the other members who tried to help. I'm going to surprise my brother with it this weekend, my sister inlaw is going to let me smuggle the gun out of the house so I can put the new stock on.

Brother was fine, only his pride hurt, qaud is in tough shape but he's dealing with that. He's going to be pretty happy about the replacement stock I would think.

Could be a model 600 - they have rabbits on the grip of the stock.
