Try Calgary Meats on Edmonton Trail just north of downtown.

They're my go to for anything and everything when it comes to BBQ meat.

What are you seeing for prices?

Crazy here- Lloydminster $7.85 untrimmed, $10.85 trimmed, Wainwright $5.80 untrimmed, Vermilion $6.85 untrimmed

x2 for Costco. Depending on intended use, Prime or AAA would be best.

I enjoyed a smoked AAA from Costco a couple weekends ago.

It was a reminder that bigger can be better, as trimming and smoking render it down significantly. 6.8 kg on shelf yielded much less final product.

Wing Tat foods supposed to have AAA brisket for $5/lb. Never been there before so can't comment on the store. Full packer briskets 15-18lbs.

They do yes. I just called there, confirmed $5 per lb.

I would take 40 lbs if I ever came south. Maybe 50.

If anyone ends up buying there, please post a review.

If it has a 1.5" fat cap it's not that great of a deal.

Pictures on facebook I think showed the trimmed side so not positive on the amount of fat. In the meantime fired him a message to ask how thick it is. Another option is wholesale club. The ones here carry AA or better it says. $4.30/lb according to website.

Superstore had them on for $3.40/lb a couple weeks ago. I picked some up but haven’t smoked them yet.

I did buy from wing tat 2 months ago.
I bought lean ground beef
Pork chops
Wings
New York steaks

I would say you get what you pay for.
Steaks were pretty tough and some small pieces of bone left on.
Chops were really fatty like 40% blubber. Again sharp pieces of bone here and there.
Burger was fatty and packaged in one of those light plastic bags you put your veggies in at grocery store.
Wings were fine.
Not a slam just my honest review.
I could have passed but wanted to try their product as it seems well priced.
Won’t be back.

Thanks for the review on them. Makes sense why I couldn't find many reviews online.

Ditto Costco, I bought 4 of them a couple months ago when the price was about $4.50 a lb, I couldn't believe it. I was used to paying over $8/lb. They averaged $50 to $55 and were 14 to 15 lbs. Smoked them for a total of about 18 to 20 hours in a Green Mountain pellet grill (insert your favourite smoked brisket recipe here) with a final temperature of 205. Absolutely amazing.

The last couple briskets I got from Red Deer Lake Meats. They are just south of Calgary. They have the full packers. Will let you choose yours from their selection or go in the back and cut you one, depending how much fat you want, etc. I don't recall the price per pound exactly, but the full packer was around $80 last time.
