7 minute power play. Wow. Ref can eat a 8===D. Nice work boys. Smith with a well deserved shut out. Good job, we said many bad things. Keep it up.

It's too bad Lomberg didn't have a bit more time to discuss things with Dumba.

Good win, could have been 4-0. Johnny with a good game. How does Dumba leave his feet and get no penalty? Good on Lomburgh to go after him.
Smith with a shut out and looked more confident. Hmm who to play for round 2 in the BOA?

And Dumba was a good hockey hit, Backlund got caught reaching, and was at chest height when contact was made. Wasn't late and elbows were down. Can't see anything coming of it.

I would still say Rittich. He plays positional and that's what you need to battle Mcdavid. Just be in the general area and have a chance at the save. Smoth is reactionary, and I dont think he's quick enough.

You might think we're even, but that would be because I lapped you.....

Posted it around six, still have a good hour of Flames cheering to go!

I gave it a hour grace in case the power went out in saddle dome, old building can have issues.

He does sound more like a soccer player, so I guess it was fairly good kick!

They are winning without Neal, I think they are saving him as a secret weapon for the playoff run. Please God....

Don't let him be a $6 Million dollar man like Lucic...

If Backlund is out for a few games, it might give Neil a chance to bump up a line

I had in mind the Flames / Oilers game was on Sat night, Hockey Night In Canada but just realized the 9th is Sunday and panicked it was going to be a afternoon game. May have had to call in sick haha but it is a night game WHEW!!
Don't want to miss that one. Nashville tomorrow will be a good one also.
I'm thinking Smith start Nashville and Rittich to stone wall the Oilers.

I wish, I am up North at work so i will be in camp watching. Should be a gooder..
I see Lomberg got one game suspension and Peters fines $10,000 for going after Dumba. Worth it, as at that point in the game that was unnecessary.
Heard Backland is out but havn't seen anything official yet.
Gio is up for a hearing with the league. Dumba nothing from what I can see..
To me looked like he left his feet.

So we could be without Gio, Backs, and Lombo. In the BOA. Not good

Lomberg just got the one game so will miss the Nashville game tomorrow but back for BOA. I would think. Gio, no idea I missed this knee they are on about but I don't think a penalty was called?? So wouldn't think a suspension but I don't know.

Interesting, how I don't see any of those Oiler fans on here ranting and raving about Dumba turtling.

The Flames are just killing it. They sadly make the Oilers look like a farm team.

It wasn't Knee on Knee. It was like knee to the side of his trailing knee. Almost like pinch move. But, he didn't use the body. I don't think it was "Dirty" but who knows.

Lomberg is in a bit more trouble as well. Not only does he get the 1 game Auto, he is up for a meeting because of a Legal line change in order to start a fight. Honestly, I have never heard of that rule.

The entire league now knows Dumba is a coward!

And nobody cares, just like with Tkachuk, with the exception of a few Oiler fans that is.

If we lose Gio and Backlund for the Nashville game, that's going to be tough. Who do they throw in....Prout? And when is Valimaki coming back? Dang. Who fills in for Backlund? Hurts our depth when we start having multiple key players out. Could be worse though. Some teams lose their Captain for a game and they lose 3/4 of their entire team.

I think Lindholm is a little better defensively then Bennett, and I think that would be a much better set up for replacing Backlund who usually gets our defensive zone starts.

I assume Czarnic would get called back up to play on the 3rd or 4th line.

I hope they don’t mess with that first line. That is our bread and butter.
