Are these legal to use here?
Hey, I cam across these Broadheads in "Petersons Bowhunting" and was wondering if they were legal to use here for hunting.

If that link doesn't work they are called the "Toxic broadhead". They look like a deadly broadhead, however I think they are barbed, but am uncertain.

No,no thats 5" of cutting surface. Amount of cutting surface isn't always the answer. After following the extensive broadhead test last year on archery talk, the design of this broadhead just screams poor penetration.
I dunno, buy a pack and see how they fly.

The fella says they are 7/8" in the bottle demo. Hope I don't start a war but IMO, like mechanicals. Why fix it if it ain't broke? They don't look barbed but with all the blades and their arrangment, it looks like they would just lose penetration. Pick a good fixed blade or solid one piece, learn to tune them and get shooting. Put the arrow where your supposed to and follow the trail.
It's that easy.

Looks like junk to me too. I can't see getting decent penetration out of that.

While the cutting surface is huge, there is no questioning that the very design of the head will inhibit penetration. Just ask anybody who used to old Razor Rings back in the day - the shape does not lend itself to zipping smoothly through an animal, it is more apt to try and bore a hole through it like a hole saw on a drill. While I have no doubt that they would lay a hurting on turkey, and probably antelope (so long as you don't touch shoulder), I think you'd be looking at huge problems with heavy bodied mule deer, elk, moose, bear, etc.
