Default Crawling valley

Heading out to crawling valley in the morning for my maiden ice fishing trip. Taking my son for the day hoping to get a few hammer handles to keep us entertained. I know the spots from summer, but where would be best to drive on and start my day? From the main campground or drive around to the other side?

I've never ice fished there so I can't help you for driving on but this might increase your chances, good luck and let us know how it goes..

We got 4 pike in the 4-5 lb range in about 3 hrs. 20 inches of ice and safe to drive on. Need 4x4for sure. Fish were in about 15 ft of water right off bottom with jigging raps and minnow heads. Missed a few as well.
