I was there this weekend and I had shots but couldn't hit anything. Bad weekend for my accuracy for sure. As long as the suns shining and you walk down some cutlines, you should have some success.

just spent 6 days in that area and it is WET!

if you get out at sunrise the roads are still frozen and the spruce grouse are plentiful....after the sun melts the frost off...it is greasy to say the least

we woke up yesterday to 6" of snow and pulled the pin on camp and came home....im sure that snow isnt gonna help road conditions

I haven't been seeing many birds around DV in my travels with work or my walks out hunting... Only saw one family group of spuce grouse so far this year... Wet spring might have reduced the numbers of chicks? Not sure what's going on, usually I see tons on the lease roads but not this year...

Default dv roads

Must have 4x4 out here!!!! I work in Drayton Valley and the roads are Some of the main roads are almost impassable. I hunt this area and maybe if we get some good weather they may dry up. Good luck and have tow straps with you.
