Default Traveling with restricted firearm

Hi guys,,I'm heading to New Brunswick from Calgary for 3 months this summer and would like to bring my handgun with me to compete in some local matches.

I have an ATT for Alberta but am wondering how I go about getting permission to bring restrictied firearms with me,since I'm not a member of any club down there and am not exactly sure which matches I will be attending down there.

Am I better of mailing it ?

Thanks,,,Steve

Contact the CFO and try and get something in writing if they even allow that. Not something you want to get caught on without all the proper paperwork...especially out east.

Yes contact CFO, they will need an invitation to the competition or range. Or you can also purchase a range membership where you are heading an get a permit for that travel with specific dates. I'm off to BC tonight with mine.

After providing them with the info they emailed me in approx. 15 mins with the permit/confirmation.
